After forty years as a stylist, Gail decided to follow a new-found passion: helping seniors and their families find communities to provide support, care and comfort when staying home is no longer the best option.
After she witnessed a beloved client struggle to adapt to carry on “life as usual” when independence was no longer sustainable, Gail wondered how she might help. Her commitment to the work began in earnest after she served as her mother’s POA. Gail earned her Certified Senior Advisor credential in 2020 and continues to pursue classes in Federal and State programs and estate planning, along with a host of programs related to ethics and quality of life choices. Gail created Joy Community Company to extend her service and educate seniors on their many options. In addition, she facilitates Stepping On, a falls prevention program provided by the Aging and Disability Resource Center.
