Jennifer Harders is a Dementia Care Specialist for the Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) of Waukesha County. In this role, she provides information and assistance to persons living with memory or cognitive concerns and individuals who have been given a dementia diagnosis. She also provides information and assistance to their family members or friends. Jennifer collaborates with health care professionals, other agencies, groups, and organizations to increase awareness of Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia and assists with developing dementia-friendly communities where people living with dementia can remain active and safe and caregivers can feel supported.

Jennifer has worked with older adults with memory loss in a variety of settings. Prior to her employment with the ADRC, she worked for the Alzheimer’s Association of Southeastern Wisconsin and in long term care and community-based services for several organizations. Jennifer spent 20 years as an Alzheimer’s Association support group facilitator; supporting persons living with dementia and their care partners. She is committed to providing awareness and education regarding Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia in Waukesha County and works daily to serve persons living with dementia and their loved ones.
